Making Baby Food

Mommy and Nana premade some of Cooper’s baby food today so that it is all ready to go when we introduce it. Today we made Sweet Potatoes, Butternut Squash, and Apples! We steamed them, pureed them in the food processor, and then froze them for later use.

It was great fun! We will also introduce banana’s and avocado’s – but they can be mashed on the fly.

And next week some time I will do peas and prunes. And since we have to wait 4 days before introducing each new food – that should last us a while :)

Here are some pictures of the big cook-off!

We had to stop for a diaper change and a milk break!

Even Phin had fun with all the peels.

Forget vegetables and fruit, it appears Cooper likes fish!

The finished product is all ready for later – healthy and organic!

Just pop out a cube and enjoy.
