After a whole month away, Cooper is finally home from his first big adventure – and boy did he have fun!
Cooper had his second plane ride last night! He had 13 hours of travel and he gets a gold star! First he drove 4 hours to the Detroit airport, then he went through security, a 5 hour plane ride and a car ride home. He was a perfect angel for the whole thing! He slept, he played, he ate, he looked around at his fellow passengers and squealed with delight. All the passengers around him and the stewardess all commented on what a good baby he was, and everyone couldn’t believe how happy he was and how he didn’t cry once.
He only broke down in the car on the way home for about 15 minutes – and who can blame him after such a long day. When we got home, we all crashed, completely exhausted. This morning daddy was back to work, after a whole month off with Cooper. It is sad to see him go, but it was such a great vacation and Cooper had him home for soooo long! Now Cooper and mommy are looking around at all the bags that need to be unpacked. 4 HUGE bags stuffed to the gills, two diapers bags, two carry on bags, Phinnegan’s kennels, car seat, base, and stroller! I guess the days of travelling light are over! Looking around it feels like it will take a month just to unpack.
Cooper looked around at his house and seemed to remember it. (We think). He sure babbled on and on as he looked at all his old toys and his room. He had so many stories to tell and didn’t let up all night.
It’s great to be home, but we miss everyone already.
SO MUCH!
