Cooper gets a big vinyl play mat (that wipes clean). It’s 2 inches thick filled with soft cushy foam, so it’s very gentle for him to lay on. We got it so he could roll and learn to crawl, and already it’s a hit! He can really dig in and move on this thing and we can see already what a difference it makes for his mobility.
Of course we still have his other play mats that we will continue to use, but this is great to learn to sit (it doesn’t hurt when he topples over!) and learn to crawl (lots of room and good material to dig in.
