Cooper is 2 Months Old!! BIG CHANGES!!

We can hardly beleive that Cooper is 2 months old!

Time is flying by and Cooper is growing leaps and bounds. It's hard to imagine that little babies can grow and change so quickly -- at only 2 months.

Of course, he's still a little wee baby who cries and fusses and needs lots of sleep and eating and holding and cuddling. And since we subscribe to the 4th trimester theory, he is still mommy's little fetus for another month. So during this time, we cannot feed him too much, not hold him too much, not cuddle him to much, or spoil him. The theory is that they are still like fetuses for the 3 months, and they just need you. So we have been giving Cooper as much attachment to us as he needs.

And he continues to have even more Firsts at 2 Months!

Bye Bye Snuggle Nest!
We said goodbye to the 'snuggle nest' today. For now anyway. It is getting a bit too small for him. Unless he's swaddled he can hit his 'flailing' hands on the sides. So for now, until we decide to put him into his crib -- we put bumper pads on the bed, for co-sleeping. This way mommy can feed Cooper in bed and he can switch back and forth from the middle to the side, without the worry of falling out.

Hello new side bumper!

3-6 Month Clothing
Mommy and Daddy pack away half of Cooper's 0-3 month clothes and get out the 3-6 month clothing. He is just so long that most of the feet are too short for him. It's sad to see all those cute little outfits go, but just as exciting to get out the new ones!

Cooper sports a 3-6 month pajama and it fits him perfectly!

Rolling Over
Cooper is starting to figure out 'how' to roll over now. He's rolled over about 10 times now. He gets both hands out in front of him and lifts his head really high and then leans to the side, and his whole body follows. I'm not sure he's quite figured the whole thing out, but he's getting better and better at it, without crying or fussing when he does it. I just can't beleieve he's rolling over at 2 months old!

Cooper holds his head up for the first time (with daddy's help, of course)

He only held it up for a few seconds and dadd was right there to support it. Dave sat him up, held him, and let hi fingers off his head for a few seconds to see what would happen. Cooper did pretty good! I think it'll still be a while before he's doing it on his own, as it really bobs forward quite a bit still. But his neck muscles are strong and he loves to push back and hold it up when he have a hand on his head.

Cooper follows a moving object on his swing.
It's the first time he's been able to see or track something that moves. Way to go Cooper!

Cooper hits some danging toys.
He looks up and tries so hard to hit them. He thinks and thinks and then moves his arms like crazy but doesn't actually hit them. Sometimes he does knock them, but it looks like it was more by luck than by design. He's really into his hands right now and moves them constantly. It always looks like he's dancing.

First Happy Walk.
Cooper went for his first "awake" walk where he was in the stroller for about an hour, wide awake, and happy! No soother. He just looked up and took in the view.

This is what he sees. Pretty good view! Pretty soon we'll have to get the other stroller out and sit him up now that he's enjoying looking around.

Cooper is enjoying his baths more and more, and guess what? His red acne rash has completely cleared up!

He's such a good baby and we just love him so much.
Happy 2 Month Birthday Cooper! xox

Loved your new pictures - but had a hard time watching the video with Dad and trying to hold your own head. Nana is so excited to know she will see you and hold you and give you lots of kisses on Thurs. and Papa will be there for Halloween.
We`ll have to go shopping for some bigger clothes for you.

    Love & Kisses
