What’s Cooper Like At 9 Months Old?

 IMG_1878

Cooper is 9 months and growing strong!

Here are some of his new milestones this month:

- He says mama and dada regularly now.   And is making all kinds of sounds…. we think he’ll say a new word soon, maybe a ‘b’ word, like ball or baby or bye bye.

- He has 4 teeth (2 on top, and 2 on bottom) and is teething more, judging by his fist in his mouth.

- He is eating more and more food (Still pureed, but a little more chunky), including yogurt and chicken now too!  He LOVES food and cries EVERY SINGLE TIME he’s done his meal for more.

- He’s standing up and pulling up on his own and letting go for a minute at a time, holding onto furniture and walking, holding our hands and walking across the floor.  He’s walking across his playpen, pushing off, then grapping the other side, with one giant step in-between.

- He’s crawling really well across the floor and pulling up and anything he can.

- He can play catch with a ball (nice and slowly, but he can do it!)

- He can hand something to you and take it back, when asked.

- He waves ‘bye bye”

- He claps.  He loves the song “If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands!” and he also loves to clap when he’s happy.  “Yay baby!”

- He tries to sing along and dance by bobbing.

- He’s ticklish and is also beginning to develop his sense of humor and finds many things now funny.

- He loves blowing bubbles and making crazy sounds.  He could spend hours blowing bubbles and making car noises.

- He is obsessed with the TV converters and seeks them out wherever they are.  He looks from the converter to the TV while pressing buttons and changing channels and knows exactly what he’s doingw.  He’s so happy and proud of himself for doing it.   And when we take them away from him he cries.

- Speaking of crying, Cooper has started to express some baby attitude at 9 months.  For the last couple weeks he has figured out the art of crying and whining when he doesn’t get his own way.  He has even discovered and master the art of the ‘fake cry’.

- He is finally STARTING to give up night nursing, although he is a stubborn little baby and sometimes mommy has no choice but to give in if anyone is to get any sleep.

- He’s sleeping most of the night in his play pen right now, but still back and forth from the bed… and always in the bed from 5am until 8am for a morning snooze and cuddle.

- He’s still using his soother and still also chewing it for teething. But he’s putting less things in his mouth now and actually starting to play with them.

I love being 9 months old!

Look at my teeth and my blue eyes.
