Sometime in early November, Grandma and mommy did their Christmas shopping together. Grandma wanted to buy Cooper and mommy and Grandpa and Dave a Christmas present. She wanted to be here so badly to watch us unwrap them. She really thought (and so did we all) that she would be here this Christmas. So we decided to have a Christmas celebration in her honor, cook a turkey, play in the snow, and then unwrap her presents that night. It was both a lovely and sad day. We miss her so much and wish she was here. But we felt her presence all around us.
Here’s Cooper in the Christmas outfit that Grandpa bought him.
Yoga baby.
And something Cooper just learned….
He can now do a somersault!!! WAY TO GO COOPER! GREAT JOB!!!
Our family by the tree.
Here’s Cooper’s little cloth Christmas tree that he got to decorate.
It’s Present time. Look at all these boxes. I wonder what grandma got me?
HEre’s my belly button!
Climbing on the boxes is fun!
Okay Cooper, let’s see what Grandma got you.
My very own sled!!
YAY GRANDMA!! I love it!
And the box is pretty fun too.
Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy and Uncle Henry all got snowshoes!
And Grandpa got the purple martin feeder he’s been wanting.
Thanks Grandma – I love you so much.
And if you ask Cooper where Grandma is, he will point to his heart and say “har”.
That’s right Cooper, grandma is in your heart and she loves you so much.
Afterwards, we all watched the family stone and cried and thought about her.
We love you mom. And we miss you. xo
