We had Christmas in Kincardine a couple days before leaving for Florida. It was so strange without Grandma, looking back to last Christmas when we all spent it together as a family and everything was fine and cancer wasn’t even a word on the radar. It’s hard to imagine everything that has changed in a year, so celebrating Christmas without grandma was felt impossible. But, thankfully, Cooper made it easier to enjoy. He is so much fun and loved the whole thing. And we felt grandma close, with pictures out and wonderful memories in our hearts. She was with us to celebrate. I’m sure of it!
HEre’s Cooper on “Christmas Eve" all excited and hamming it up.
Appetizers, beer, and wine. The Christmas Eve Dinner of Champions.
Cooper checking out grandma’s Christmas train set that she passed onto us.
Grandpa gives Cooper his Christmas present early. Look! It’s tractor!
The box was a hit!
And so was the tractor. He hopped right up and off he went!
Some new books…
And a good snuggle and ready for bed.
Don’t forget to put out a BABY MUM-MUM for Santa! Look at the cute plate that Aunt Christine, Uncle Chris, Grace and Sadie gave him.
And look, first thing in the morning – evidence that Santa was here!
Stocking were full in the morning…. one for mommy, daddy, grandpa, Cooper and Phin.
COoper came over and checked it out – yep, Santa was here!
Then he polished off the rest of the baby mum-mum Santa left behind.
A Christmas morning cuddle.
Now it’s present time!
Even Phin joined in on the fun!
A monkey AND a phone! Oh BOY!
And a remote control car – thanks Uncle Tom!
Mommy did up some collage pictures of Grandma for all of us and it was so nice to have her spirit here with us.
Then out for a Christmas SNOW SHOE with our new matching animal ear hats!
Our little cutie pie loves his new sled – thanks grandma!
Then back to the house for some Christmas cheer. And a few poses in his Christmas outfit.
And downstairs to reveal Cooper’s new play area!!
Mommy, daddy and grandpa put up the shelves and had it all ready.
Daddy and Grandpa putting the train set together, while Cooper is busy coloring with his new pad and crayons.
Hurray! I love my new play area! Thanks mommy and daddy!
Now, 1 more sleep and off to Florida!
