Cooper woke up after his nap, able to speak and put together his sentences, although still a bit of a stutter. The doctor concluded that it was the stress of being away, being out of his routine, and starting daycare that is causing the stutter. He thinks that the confusion was behavioural, not neurological – thank goodness! WE are still slightly concerned that the seizure episode, the few night terrors, and now this could be linked as a neurological concern, but mostly we are just relieved.
Since then, Cooper has returned to himself and the stutter has pretty much stopped! So maybe it was just all the change of routine that brought it on.
