Life goes on… as it always does.
Grandpa moved in with us for the week or so after Grandma passed away, which was really nice for mommy and Cooper to have him so close. We are all a little lost lately. Losing Cooper’s grandma is most difficult thing we’ve ever had to face. A wife, a mom, a grandma, and a best friend.
It’s strange to think that life in fact, does go on, after such a devasting loss. But thank goodness for Cooper, our little miracle, who we are all forced to go on for. He’s still as busy as ever, he needs to be fed and changed and played with. He laughs and dances and cuddles. He forces us all to keep moving forward, baby steps – one foot in front of the next…
Here we all are cuddled up on the couch in the morning together. It’s so nice having grandpa here.
Cooper and mommy reading all the emails that people sent about grandma.
Mommy loves her Cooper.
Grandpa reads Cooper a story.
Cooper loves his Grandpa so much.
Here’s Cooper pretending to be Phin.
Nightie night in Phinner’s bed.
Here he is with his new big boy toothbrush and toothpaste.
A week after Grandma passed away, Daddy and mommy and Grandpa decided to get out of the house for a day, and just be together. We took a drive to Stratford, where mommy and daddy once used to live. We walked around the trail, went out for lunch, shopped and had a coffee. It was so nice to get out together and we even managed to have some fun.
Lunch at Bentley’s.
A walk around the lake – Cooper loves seeing all the DUCKS!
We found a park on the way.
Happy baby loves to swing. He laughs and laughs and laughs…
And no visit to Stratford is complete until we stopped at the famous toy store. Cooper LOVED walking around – I mean RUNNING around – looking at all the toys.
Afterwards we stopped for a hot chocolate at Tango’s.
What a nice get-away to Stratford it was. We’ll have to go back again soon.
Here’s Cooper hanging out in his crib with cuddle bear.
And here is mommy’s little man doing the laundry – ALL BY HIMSELF! I told him to do the laundry – usually he watches me and helps, but today he took the laundry basket all the way from mommy’s bedroom into the laundry room by himself and loaded all the clothes in! Mommy had to help with the soap, but except for that, he did everything else!
Dragging the laundry basket out of mommy’s closet.
Push it out of the bedroom and down the hall…
Here he goes, loading it all in.
Great work Cooper, close the door!
Now press the button….
You did it!!!
This picture is blurry, but WAY too cute. He was SOOO proud of his little self.
Great job Cooper – you did the laundry at 15 months old! Mommy will be sure to remind you of this when you are a teenager.
Here he is playing with his new fridge magnets. Lots of hours of entertainment.
And of course, in the bathroom with his ducks.
Here he is with his new footstool and potty training doll – Joshua.
Enough of that, back to the ducks!
Busted.
Very important on the cell phone.
A little over a week, after grandma passed away was US Thanksgiving. Mommy and daddy had planned to celebrate this holiday every year for Cooper as a tradition, since he is American, and we found out we were pregnant on US Thanksgiving two years ago. This year, we weren’t sure if we really felt like it, but, we decided to go ahead and celebrate and cook a turkey and invite some family over.
It was a good decision. And even though it was hard not having grandma there, we all had a great time.
Here’s mommy, daddy and grandpa all ready for the guests to arrive. Turkey cooking in the oven and table set.
A little walk outside before everyone arrives. It’s a beautiful day out there.
Cooper loves trying to walk now. He’s a good walker, but he doesn’t go in a straight line yet. He likes to wander to the sides, so this process can take forever.
Okay kiddo, get in the stroller and let’s go….

We even had time for a few stories before the guests arrived.
Yay, Cooper’s cousins are here! Unfortunately Aunt Deanna, Cousin Kameron and cousin Jayce couldn’t make it at the last weekend, but Cooper still had so much fun with his other cousins.
Gobble gobble….
Cooper loved baby Tavin.
Baby Tavin and his papa.
Baby Tavin and Aunt Lisa – I think I need another one of these!
And make it a girl!
Jammie and Story time.
Cousin Alisha
Cousin Taitum
Cousin Autumn
Uncle Henry
Uncle Peter
And to finish off the weekend, mommy daddy and grandpa took Cooper to ‘CHristmas in the country’ which was great fun for all.
Beautiful sunset – maybe Grandma looking down from heaven wishing she was here. Oh wait, she IS here!!
Cooper loved looing at the animals, but he was a little nervous to touch them. He started to cry when the man let us hold the bunny. hmmmmm. Maybe he’ll like to better next time!
Home and Jammie time.
Playing with his animals, remembering the animals he just saw.

We love you Cooper. Thank you for helping us get through our first week and a half without grandma. I think this is going to be a long hard process, but you make life worth living right now.
We love you so much. Your grandma would be proud of you!
