Today is grandpa’s birthday and Cooper’s due date! Mind you, he was 11 days overdue. But I can hardly believe that year ago today, we were waiting and expecting his arrival!!! Mommy and Daddy were living in Redmond, Grandma and Grandpa and Nana were in a townhome down the street visiting, the weather was hot (we had just survived a major heat wave) and mommy and daddy were doing everything we could to try to convince little Cooper to come out. We were all going for walks on the trail, having dinner’s together, shopping, going to the pool, and basically just waiting. It’s hard to believe everything that has changed since then. For the good and the bad. We are now home, living in Kincardine. Cooper is almost one years old and Grandma is battling cancer and going through chemotherapy. But even though we’ve gotten some of the worst news over the last year, we’ve also had some of the most wonderful memories of our lives over the last year and I will never forget any of them.
Cooper is enjoying his last 11 days being a baby, just as he was last year, enjoying his last 11 days as a fetus before deciding to make his grand entrance into the world.
Cooper – you are a beautiful baby and we love you so much!! Enjoy every minute of these next 11 days. You’ll never be 0 again!
