Now that we're back living in Ontario, we can go see the people we love on those special occasions. This is exactly why we moved home!
So Friday we packed up and headed off to see Nana and Papa in St. Thomas for Mother's Day. Grace and Sadie were there waiting for us and we all had a sleepover on Friday night.
Papa drove all night from Peterborough to get home in time to see Cooper before he woke up on Saturday morning. Then we went to the golf club for lunch, stopped off for ice cream on the way home, then paid a special visit to see Cooper's Big Nana (Waite) and Great Grandma (Richardson) at the cemetery and leave them some flowers that Nana bought.
Grace and Sadie kept Cooper busy and he had a great time playing with his cousins, laughing with Papa and Uncle Chris and snuggling up with Nana and Aunt Christine. What a great St. Thomas Mother's Day!
Then he spent mothers day with his Grandma the next day. And what a wonderful day it was! Grandma was feeling great and was able to enjoy the day with mommy and Cooper. It was such a special day for Cooper to be with his mom, and grandma – both together on Mother’s Day. And it was even better that grandma felt so good and was able to enjoy the day too. We had a delicious breakfast (the guys brought in coffee and Tim Horton’s breakfast sandwiches) played with Cooper, and watched movies. What a perfect mother’s day weekend!
