Mommy's BIG Scare

Cooper was rushed to Emergeny Last night.

It was such a scary night, but thankfully he's okay now.

He was fine all day long, even all night, playing and happy, until bedtime, and then he barfed. It was the first time ever that's he's been sick so I was a little worried, because it came out of nowhere 2 big huge projectile barfs. But after that he seemed okay and I fed him and put him to bed and he barfed again, everywhere. When I picked him up and held him to sooth him, and he barfed again. and again. And chocking on it. I'm talking big huge barfs and then he starts to scream these huge loud shrill screams and keeps barfing and goes completely white and his eyes glaze over and he goes limp in my arms, and non-responsive. I never moved so fast. My dad drove us to emergency. No pants on the poor child even, just wrapped in a blanket in my arms, no car seat, just rushing him there. When he was there, he was just still and white and looking at us, hardly moving for about a half hour while they were monitoring his vitals. Then he started to move a little and respond and they asked me to feed him just a little, then wait another half hour, and they monitored him again. My this time his color came back and he was moving and playing with a little toy. I was never so relieved in all my life. It was so nice to see his little rosy cheeks and smiling face.

The doctor told me to bring him back right away if he throws up again, and try not to feed him until the morning. He also took a swab inside his mouth and said it looks as though he has tonsilitis, but that wasn't likely the cause of it, and said it was very strange that this happened out of the blue without a fever or other flu symptoms. THe good news is that he has agreed to take Cooper on as a patient and wants to see him next week for a follow up and have all his records sent.

What a night.

Mommy is mentally exhausted. And will be so happy to see daddy when he arrives in 4 days.
