Cooper’s Last Night In Redmond

Last night Cooper spent his last night in his nursery.  This room has been filled with such happiness and joy and mommy has loved every second of rocking Cooper in here and looking around at all his pictures and all the beautiful baby things.   The last six months have been the most magical and happy days of our lives, and we are sad to say goodbye to the place where our miracle came true.  But we are looking forward to many miracles to come as we move home to be with our families.   They say home is where the heart is, and I believe that is true.  Home is where Cooper and mommy and daddy and Phinnegan belong.

Here are some pictures of us Cooper last day and night in Redmond:

We are still in shock over this devastating recent news.   We knew we would be moving home soon, we just didn’t know it was going to happen so quick, and especially not under these circumstances.   We can’t believe that our plans for moving home are suddenly not filled with the joy we were expecting, but filled with uncertainty and sadness of this cruel news.   But even still, we are all so happy to be going home and we are concentrating on the joy and happiness of being there to hug my mom.   There is still so much joy.  Because Cooper will soon be home with his grandma – we all will.  This is Cooper’s first introduction to the fact that there life is not only filled with joy and happiness, but also sadness and pain.  That sometimes you have to go through bad times, in order to get the good.  That sometimes bad things happen when you are least expecting them, and that life isn’t always fair.  But it will also introduce him to the power of positive thinking and that miracles can happen if you believe.   He will learn the power of hope.  The power of prayer.   The power of courage and strength and never giving up.  He will learn about staying in the moment and being grateful for every day and every breathe we take.  And he will learn about the amazing power of love. There is so much love all around us, and Cooper will get to experience such a magical power of unconditional binding love and the strength and power and magic of family.   And how love will pull us through anything.  He will learn that when the tough gets going, families stick together and we pull each other through. He will learn that it’s being together that is what counts.   And we will finally all be together.  And we will beat this together, and he will have his grandma around for many wonderful happy years to come.  We just know it!  Anything is possible when you have determination, love, and hope.  Cooper is living proof that miracles do happen.  And his grandma will be too.

Goodbye Redmond.  Hello Kincardine.

Here we come, big amazing wonderful love!!!

  2. Dear Lisa and David,
Mom forwarded the news about your move back east and Lisa, about your Mom. We're so sorry that you are facing this difficult situation. We hope that each day will bring renewed strength and determination for your Mom and for each of you. We will keep your family in our heart and thoughts. It's wonderful to see the photos of Cooper, who looks like one happy boy.
