Growing Bigger Every Day!

Cooper is having a great week with his grandma and doing so much changing this week. He's now 10 pounds, 9 ounces -- he gained another whole pound in one week! His face is filling out and getting rounder by the day.

He's cooing and wiggling and starting to see the world around him now. He started to make very brief eye contact last week, but now he's holding his gaze much longer... 10-15 seconds at times. We brought out his play mat with the toys attached above it and he's having so much fun staring at them. He's enjoying black and white images and flashing lights. He's enjoying more tummy time and really kicking his feet when he's on his back. When he's being burped he's trying to hold his head up much more -- of course we still have to watch it as he bobs like a little bird, but he's getting much stronger and really trying to hold it up at times. He's also barring a little weight on his feet when he's being held upright.

He graduated from more clothes this week too -- 8 outfits to be exact! He's enjoying his soother and he even found his thumb yesterday. I'm not sure he knew how he got it there, but he sucked it for about 20 minutes. Up until now, he's only been able to put his whole fist in there. His hands are really starting to open up now and unclentch, but he hasn't been able to grab onto objects yet. If something is placed in his hand, he holds on tight, but can't grab onto anything by himself yet. I'm not sure he realizes his hands belong to him yet, but he's just starting to figure it out a little, opening and closing his hands and wiggling his fingers.

I can't beleive how much he's developed this week alone. We are having so much fun watching him grow.
