Everlie is now recovering from a nasty ear infection, but it's been a tough few days to get through.
The whole family has been sick - Cooper missed a week and a half of daycare, swimming and gymnastics, daddy missed some work and mommy has been fighting the cold and the vertigo.
But the worst was Everlie's ear infection. She started getting a cold with congestion (her 3rd or 4th in her 3 and a half months), but on Sunday there were some signs that it was something worse. She was pretty listless and glassy eyed, and her right eye was all red, puffy and swollen.
Fearing conjuctivitis, we figured we'd better take her up to see the doctor.
He gave her a good look but concluded there was no infection - the puffy eye was just a clogged tear duct from all the head congenstion.
She managed to sleep a bit that night, but the next morning (Monday) as soon as daddy left for work she started screaming. And screaming. And screaming. By the time daddy got home around 4:00, she had barely eaten all day and was clearly in a lot of pain.
Back to the ER.
This time, after a quick look the (different) doctor concluded that there was indeed an ear infection, and that's why she's not eating (hurts to swallow).
This time we left wtih a prescription for antibiotics and tylenol.
Just hours after taking the tylenol she was feeling better, and now a day or two later she's really on the mend (in fact I think we all are).
Just in time for Valentine's day, I think we're all feeling just well enough to enjoy it!
