Cooper turned 3 and a half today, so we decides to do a little photoshoot of him and his new sister.
We measured Cooper today and he had grown 2 whole inches since his third birthday!!! WOW!! Grow Cooper grow! No wonder your pants were all getting short on you.
Cooper also got a new responsibility chart where he earns STARS for doing basic chores each day. His first assignment was to make his bed. I asked him if he wanted help and he said he could do it himself. He called me a few mintues later and I expected to walk in to a very funny made bed but was astonished at what I saw!
He did such a great job and earned his first star!
On his 3.5 month birthday Cooper was supposed to give up his soother in return for a BIG BOY chair at the table and a new special clock of his own in his bedroom. But, he was just so sad – we hated to take it away from him. So instead we made a deal… he could keep his soother but only for bedtime. It can’t come out on the couch for morning snuggle anymore. In return, he would get the new clock for his room. But the big boy chair at the table will have to wait until he decides to throw out the soother. Oh well. We may have taken a tougher line with him, but with the vertigo mommy is still facing, we just don’t want to add any extra stress right now. So for now, soother lives on! Baby steps, I guess!
Cooper’s new alarm clock is pretty cool, helping to teach him tell time and also to stay in bed until the little boy on the picture wakes up. We’ll set the clock for 7am on weekends and 6:30 during the week. It’ll be tough getting Cooper to stay in bed that long, but hopefully it will do the trick. Only time will tell. He also got a new book, BACK TO BED ED, which he thinks is hilarious.
We also interviewed Cooper today – asked a whole bunch of questions that we can continue to ask each year and see how the answers change. It’s really cute. We’ll post a link soon.
We love you Cooper! I can’t believe you’re 3 and a half already!!!!
You are such a miracle to us. Love, Mommy and Daddy. xoxo
