Where to even begin. December 1st is a big day around here. It marks the start of Christmas season for starters!
Cooper pulled back the tab on his chocolate Advent calendar and ate the first one, and we crossed off December 1st on his calendar.
Jammer, our Elf on the shelf makes his first appearance. Our '24 days of Waite Family Fun' Christmas cards begin. Each day Cooper gets to pull a card out of a Christmas bag and whatever activity that is on the card, is what we get to do. It’s a great new family tradition that we hope will be around for years to come.
Everlie is 6 weeks old today, which means mommy can now start excercising to shed those 20 extra pounds. WE can’t believe she is already 6 weeks. She is growing and changing every day. She is now 11.5 pounds, starting to hold her head up on her own, coo at us when we talk to her, and giving us small (almost there) smiles. She is still sleeping and eating well, though has developed a bit of collick between the hours of 8pm and midnight – which has been hard on mommy and daddy. But aside from that, she is falling into a nice routine with our family and we love having her here.
Next, we all got ready for the Bruce Power Kids Christmas party. Cooper was excited to go, and Everlie put on her first party dress! Though, she never actually made it to the party in her dress… she changed into something more comfortable before we left the house.
After the party we went out for nachos, before the Santa Claus Parade. And Grandpa joined us as well!
Mommy, Daddy, and Cooper dressed up in our Jammies and matching animal hats for the parade, and daddy brought hot chocolate in a thermos!
Merry Christmas Santa!
What a wonderful (and busy!) way to kick off the month of December.
