One year ago today, Cooper came home. It was the day that we finally became a family!
It's amazing to think that the first place Cooper lived was in a petri dish in Denver -- not inside his mommy's uterus like most babies. He hung out in his own little embryo appartment with embryo brothers and sisters -- while mommy and daddy footed the steep rent for such a small little dish. But after five long days of braving it on his own, Cooper was placed, along with his brother and sister, inside his mommy's uterus where he belonged. He We talked to him and told him to snuggle in tight and we prayed with all our might that he would like his new home and decide to stay.
And thus, today will forever be known as family day.
We were finally all together!! One big happy family!
We will never ever forget that day.
HERE WE WERE THEN:
Mommy and daddy, while Cooper was snug as a bug in his petri dish.
Cooper (and his brother and sister) as a day 5 blastocyst.
Daddy took a picture of mommy waiting for the doctor to transfer Cooper to his new home.
And here is mommy, minutes after the procedure was over -- Cooper is now home!!

Here we are as a family -- with Cooper in our arms this year.
What an amazing day this is. We're just going to kick back and enjoy it tonight.
