This summer has been very strange without Grandma around to enjoy it with. But the warm weather has a way of lifting your spirits and everything seems wonderful and fresh through the eyes of a toddler. Cooper has been spending his days at the beach and enjoying all kinds of summer activities, playdates, and fun. He’s loving every minute of it!
Here he is post-swim drying off and checking out the flowers at Grandpa’s house. These were grandma’s favorites!
Grandpa, mommy, and Cooper took a drive to Bayfield for the afternoon. It was such fun!
The beach had a pretty big sandbar, so Cooper had fun exploring in the water.
Then we shopped around the town and had dinner out. It was a great day!
The Reeds came up for the night – and Cooper had fun playing with the three girlies.
The next day Nana came to visit, and we all went out for dinner. Thanks nana!
COoper loves to ‘help make dinner’, even when it’s breakfast. Here he is helping to make breakfast with nana in the morning.
Nana and Cooper spent the morning hanging out on the beach in Kincardine together.
And it was such a calm day, we decided to take the canoe out!
Cooper sang row row row your boat while daddy and nana paddled.
Then it was time for another beach party that afternoon – The Bruce Beachparty with beef on a bun, music, pipe band, and fireworks! What a great afternoon and evening.
Eating a cookie – that sneaky Grandpa!
Aunt Terry and Uncle Rick popped into town for the day.
Down at the beach party.
mmmmmm. Hamburger!
Playing the baseball game at the beach party - -go Cooper!
Cooper hugged Blinky and was really excited to see him.
Drumming stations by the beach.
Meeting up with a couple of friends at the party. Graham and Jane.
Cooper’s first kiss was with Jane, and here he is going in for another. The other day he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in for a big smooch! It was SOOO cute!
Seeing his friend Tyler down at the party.
And then ran into his friend Juliet.
The kites were flying and it was a gorgeous summer day.
Off to the parade we go.
Cooper loves his Saturday nights at the pipe band, and especially loves getting to stay up two hours past his bedtime!
COoper had his first ice-cream cone that night – and boy are we in trouble now! He LOVED IT!
mmmmm. Butterscotch!
The boys all eating their ice-cream cones.
Back to the park for the finale and the concert.
Cooper got to play one of the real drums – lucky boy!
Dancing to the music and having fun.
A playdate with his friend Owen.
Time to pick the vegetables. The peas are ready!
