Cooper Celebrates Grandma’s Birthday

Cooper celebrated Grandma’s birthday today – by spending a day with family in her memory.   She would have been 63 years old.   First, we went showshoeing on the trails.  It was cold but beautiful, with all the white fluffy, freshly fallen snow.   Mommy, daddy, grandpa, and Uncle Henry all went.   Afterwards we went back to grandpa’s, ordered Chinese food and watched a movie.   We even had a toast of brandy ice-wine on the trail to grandma.   that night we were going to go in the hot-tub but it was sooooo cold outside, none of us dared.   So we all cuddled up in our jamies and had a comfy night watching movies.  Cooper stayed the night and we had a great morning together before coming home.

We love you grandma – you are forever with us in our heart.  We feel as though we were all cheated of twenty great years with you.   And it makes us so mad that cancer had to chose you.   You fought such a good fight and we only wish things could have been different.  Oh how we love and miss you.

xoxo

Mommy and Cooper have the same slippers – sock monkey’s.   They are perfect for pajama party’s.

I wish you were here mom so bad to get a chance to enjoy Cooper.  You would be so proud – he is such a wonderful little boy who still kisses his pictures of grandma and points to his heart when you ask him where his grandma is.

We love you.
