Falling For Fall

Cooper has been having fun this fall, trying new tricks indoors, and exploring the outdoors.  It seems everything is new and exciting in his eyes.

Here he is doing one of his favorite things – playing the drums.   Tupperware and a stick will do the trick.

Hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa

Playdate with his friend Jade.  And lots more play dates with other kids.  In fact, Cooper has been going to all kinds of playgroups this fall – and he loves hanging out and playing with all the kids.

Here he is going for a walk down the trail!   To our surprise (at 13 months!) we took him out of his stroller to see if he wanted to try walking a bit.  Well not only did he try it, he walked the WHOLE WAY!  He walked from my parents house, down the trail, all the way to the park by himself!

Stopping to pick up a leaf.

Checking on my dog – the one he wanted to push in his stroller.

And finally we’re at the park!  Cooper tried going down the slides, and in fact, a few trips to the park later and he was doing the little slide all by himself!!!

Looking like he owns the place.

Ready for his first swimming lesson – come on dad, let’s go!

Cooper had so much fun in the water with all the kids and loves going to show off his moves.  He likes splashing, kicking, and playing with all the fun toys.

But when he gets home, he wanted a good cuddle on the couch with Phin before bed.

I’m gonna get you!

Cooper has also been enjoying lots of fall fairs this September.

The animals are his favorite part.

Ba-ba says the sheep.  Cooper says all kinds of animal sounds, but ba-ba is one of his favorites.

Look mom, it’s a DUCK!

IMG_4979 IMG_4980 IMG_4981

He laughs everytime daddy says cock-a-doddle-doo!  So it was neat for him to hear the roosters in real life.

And of course, we can’t forget the horses!

IMG_5002

But maybe the best part is all the running around.  Cooper is really getting steady on his feet these days and having fun exploring the world.  In fact, all mommy and daddy do all day long is ‘Cooper chase’ from one room to another to another.

Look at all those DUCKS!

 IMG_5006

He wasn’t so sure about petting the pony, but after he did it he wanted to do it again.

IMG_5016

And last but certainly not least the cows.

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

IMG_5019

Inside, Cooper has been helping mommy with the cleaning…

IMG_5023 IMG_5026

He also helps with the laundry.  Oh who am I kidding, he just likes going for a ride down the hall in the basket.

Visiting with Uncle Chris is always fun.

IMG_5036

And nana has all kinds of new toys to enjoy!

I love my grandma.

IMG_5071 IMG_5076 IMG_5078 IMG_5087

And my grandpa too!

IMG_5089

Cooper went to Smith Apple farms this fall too, which was loads of fun.

This is fun.  But when do I get to eat one?

IMG_5160

Good boy Cooper, put it in the bag.

Fall is so much fun.  The only down side was that we all missed PUMPKINFEST.  And we had been so excited to go.  But Cooper, mommy, and daddy all go the stomach flu and were out of commission for 48 hours.  It was sooooo sad to see Cooper go through such a thing.  Covered in poop, covered in barf, and not eating or drinking for 24 hours.  Poor little guy.  But I’m happy to report that he’s finally on the mend, and even though we missed Pumpkinfest in Port Elgin, we’re looking forward to Thanksgiving Weekend in St. Thomas!
