Today is the ninth day of a fever for Cooper – that will not go away.
We took Cooper to the doctor on day 3, but the doctor said he was just sick with a bad cold, he didn’t look as though he had an infection and the fever would break very soon.
On Day #7, we took Cooper to the Emergency room because he still had the fever (and cough). The doctor immediately diagnosed him with tonsillitis, saying his throat is red and covered in white spots and his ears are inflamed and sore.
Today is day #9 – he’s been on antibiotics for 2 days now and he still has a fever. It broke for about 4 hours this afternoon, but it was back by bedtime.
If the fever still persists by tomorrow at 5pm our doctor wants him back at emergency.
Our poor little Cooper.
And what’s worse is that his mommy and daddy and him and nana were supposed to fly out to Denver on Wednesday morning for the very important embryo transfer. It looks like Cooper will not be able to fly at this point – and we will have to leave him for 5 days. The thought of leaving him that long is so difficult, but we are trying to take one day at a time for now. And just hope he is feeling better in the morning.
We love you Cooper. It has been so heartbreaking to see you like this. Please get better soon. Your mom and dad.
